Magic Spoon is the healthy cereal for the kid in you. Just as fun as any throwback sugarbowl, but low-carb and high protein for your daily diet. For a DTC brand, our challenge was to create an identity that really popped.
We worked with famed illustrator Levi Jacobs to create fun, grown-up versions of classic cereal mascots. I wrote copy for the cereal box and magicspoon dot com, as well as our tagline: Hold on to the dream.


Challenge and objective.
It’s likely more people read cereal boxes than books. There are colors. There are characters. They catch the eye. They remind us of childhood. We wanted to tap into that nostalgia—a big reason for choosing this cereal over something wholesomely boring, like Kashi®. Next, we explained key differences (protein, sugar) between Magic Spoon and sugary competitors like Froot Loops®. We even included a fun puzzle for early risers. It’s super hard.
